课程性质：《水平考试（一）》听力部分是高等教育自学考试英语专业基础课考试计划中的一门必修课。总体水平相当于普通高等院校英语专业专科一年级结束时的听力水平。
课程要求：
1. 能听懂语速较慢的、以标准英美音发音的一般日常生活会话应答与基本问答、日常生活情景单组对话，以及一般背景小短文与日常生活情景片段对话。
2. 以常见句型表述，词汇量要求在3000个词以内。
学习书目：《英语听力》（上下册），何其莘等编写，外语教学与研究出版社，1999年版。
考试安排：考试时间共20-25分钟左右，满分100分，共分三部分。每个问题答题时间为12秒。各题型均只读一遍。

题型说明
Part A：一般日常生活会话情景反应与基本信息询问。
Part B：一般日常生活单组对话理解， 辨别理解对话双方或一方内容的基本含意、表层信息，推断潜在信息，以及进行简单数字运算。
Part C：本部分一般由一篇小短文与一段情景片段对话组成，每段设计5个问题。 小短文内容涉及一般背景的文化、历史、社会生活；情景片段对话为日常生活内容。

10月24日起，全市13万自考生迎来10月自考。在连续两个周末，他们将步入19个考区的2310个考场参加考试。这是记者从北京教育考试院获悉的`。
此次考试共开考101个专业的391门课程。6个考区的9所监狱考点的服刑人员也将参加考试，2位体障生将在特殊考场内参加考试。
北京教育考试院自考办相关负责人表示，今年继续贯彻“和谐考试”的组考理念，努力为考生创造安全舒适、公平公正的考试环境。利用现代通讯工具实施有组织、有预谋的集体舞弊行为依然是防范和打击重点。
市自考办在日前召开的全市组考会上强调，各区县自考办要做好考试突发事件应急预案，考点校要做好监考老师的考前培训，助学单位要加强考生考前教育。市自考办届时将组织多支巡视队伍，并使用远程电子巡查系统，对考场加强巡视、监管；对考场、考点周边环境清查和监控，发现可疑迹象及时处理，遏制和严厉打击各种形式的考试违规行为。
据悉，为防控甲型H1N1流感，市自考办要求考生每场考试进场前填写健康状况卡。该卡由北京教育考试院设计，上有考生姓名、准考证号、联系电话、身体状况、体温等项目。考生可在查询考试通知单时从网上下载。考生要如实填写，并签字对所填写内容的真实性负责。
考试期间，市自考办将设置两部举报电话，分别是82837405、82837200，有专人值班，考生如发现有违考试公平的现象可立即举报。（记者：任卫军）
本周末将迎来10月自考，北京教育考试院自考办相关负责人提醒考生，考试结束前30分钟才可离开考场。
根据教育部文件规定，考生交卷离场时间为考试结束前30分钟。这意味着，在大部分150分钟的自考课程考试中，考生如想提前交卷，要在开考120分钟后才可提出申请。
申请提前离场的考生，要将答卷及答题卡反扣在桌面上，再举手提出离场，经监考员允许后才准离开。需要注意的是，考生一旦离开考场，不能再进场续考，也不能在考场附近逗留。北京教育考试院相关负责人表示，调整交卷离场时间，目的在于进一步规范考试管理，为考生创造公平公正、安全舒适的考试环境。
在今年4月自考中，曾出现个别考生拿着火车票参加考试的情况；还有些考生因饮食不当出现呕吐或拉肚子的情况。该负责人提醒考生，考试当天不要安排其他事务，考前要注意饮食，保证身体健康，以免因提前离场违规。首次参加考试的新生，也要提前了解这一变化，做到心中有数，控制好答题时间。
除要注意离场时间变化，自考办还提醒考生谨记另外4个时间点：考前20分钟考生持准考证、有效身份证件进入考场；开考信号发出后，考生才能开始答题；开考15分钟后，考生不得进入考点；考试结束信号发出后，考生要立即停笔。
据悉，10月自考全市将有13万考生在19个考区参加40余万科次的考试。考试于本月24日、25日、31日和11月1日进行。
